Description Huntsman Cancer Hospital is an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Utah that administers chemotherapy in outpatient and inpatient settings, and at satellite locations throughout the Mountain West. Due to a desire to implement pump integration with chemotherapy administration, to adhere to new USP 800 guidelines, to create a more consistent experience for our patients, and to provide better educational support for increasing affiliate partners, an effort was undertaken to standardize administration, preparation, and handling of chemotherapy and other hazardous drugs across the system.
