Description Extensive literature confirms a wide range of benefits and outcomes of being a mentor (Nowell, 2015). The mentor/mentee relationship is a peer - to - peer mutual relationship with benefits to both participants. The Huntsman Oncology Nurse Residency (HONR) program at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) has always included an informal mentorship piece, but was in need of a more robust framework.
