Description Chlamydia is a treatable sexually transmitted infection that can lead to infertility and pelvic infections. Conclusion: This QI EMR intervention is a patient outreach intervention designed to minimize barriers to obtaining chlamydia screening. We found that this intervention is in fact effective in raising chlamydia screening rates for patients aged 18-24 at Sugar House Family Health Center. Moreover, we found that it takes on average, 3 outreach attempts, before a patient completes a chlamydia screening test. More research is needed to optimize our outreach strategy and investigate the barriers to obtaining chlamydia screening despite direct patient awareness and education.
