Description Top ten 911 callers in SLC have a mean call rate of 20 calls/year with range of 10-43. These patients typically call for non-emergent complaints and utilize the 911 system to achieve non-medical goals. ED based care for these problems results in duplicated, costly workups, burden EDs with non-acute complaints, and cause cascading healthcare costs.
