The University of Utah women's cross country team wrapped up action at the Pac-12 Championships with a ninth-place finish. Led by the 41st-place performance of Sarah Feeny, the Utes finished the day with 241 points to edge Washington State by five points. Feeny was running with the top-20 competitors for the majority of the race but couldn't hold on as she slipped to 41st with a time of 21:18. Senior Rebekah Winterton was the second Ute to cross the line in a time of 21:25 for 49th place. Sophomore Jessica Sams was the third Ute to finish in a time of 21:27 for 53rd. Rounding out the top five runners for Utah were Shaylen Crook in 51st (21:29) and Hannah McInturff in 61st (21:36). Other noticeable finishes for the Utes include: Nikki Rietz (88th), Lauren Mills (90th), Andrea Chavez (91st), Dana Snell (98th) and Dakota Grossman (100th). The Utes finished the day ninth overall in the team standings with 241 points. The overall winner was Oregon with 54 points followed by Stanford (74 points), Colorado (82 points), and Washington (93 points), The full team scoring can be found at the bottom of the article. |
