Final Score The Utah women's cross country team took first at the CSI Invitational Friday evening with a total of 28 team points. Freshman Scarlet Dale led the Utes finishing in second place. Dale finished the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:45.98 to lead the Utes to the finish in her first collegiate race. Coming in behind Dale and also competing in their first collegiate race was freshman Sophie Ryan and redshirt freshman Cara Woolnough. Ryan captured fourth with a time of 18:59.25 while Woolnough placed fifth finishing with a time of 19:02.34. Rounding out the top five scorers for the Utes was sophomore Aubrey Argyle and freshman Kennedy Powell. Argyle earned seventh with a time of 19:04.03 and Powell placed 10th with a time of 19:15.56. Also competing for the Utes was freshman Sara Leonard, sophomore Natalie Platil, and sophomore Emma Christensen. Leonard finished 11th (19:35.71), Platil captured 14th (19:49.68), and Christensen placed 17th (20:12.85). The Utes took home the race title with a total of 28 team points. Finishing in second was Weber State with 38 points, third was the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) with 99 points, and fourth was Northwest Nazarene with a total of 106 points.
