Senior Brianna LeRoy of the University of Utah track & field team cleared a height 5'8.75" (1.75m) to take 22nd place in the high jump finals. In her first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, LeRoy cleared her first attempt at 5'7" (1.70m) as well her second jump at 5-8.75" (1.75m). The Gig Harbor, Wash., native then went for her personal-record height of 5-10.5" (1.79m) in the third progression. She had a great first attempt, but unfortunately could not clear her personal-best mark in three tries. |
