Getting the Beach Invitational underway in the 100m hurdles was junior Angela Kaplar's 14th-place performance. Kaplar clocked a time of 14.15 seconds earning fourth in her heat. Freshman Ali Eisenbeiss led the team in the 400m dash. Eisenbeiss posted a time of 56.49 seconds earning third in her heat and 19th overall. Junior Lauryn McKay finished just on the heels of Eisenbeiss, clocking a time of 56.71 seconds for 24th place. In the 400m hurdles, Stephanie Jolley captured first in her heat and sixth overall with a time of 1:00.98. Senior Elise McVicar finished with a new personal record time of 1:03.02 earning 20th. The shot put featured Candus Aiello heading the charge for the Utes. On her fourth attempt, Aiello set a personal-best mark of 46-7.50 feet. Her performance earned second in the heat and 10th overall. |
