Getting the day off to a quick start for the Utes was junior Anneli Stahl in the hammer throw. Stahl led the team with her second-place mark of 178-4.50 feet. Junior Nikkie Rudder finished second for the Utes and fourth overall after setting a new 10 foot personal record throw of 171-2.75 feet. Destanae Howerton-Davis and Lindsay John finished sixth and 12th overall, respectively. The shot put event featured the Utes capturing three of the top-five spots.
