Title Report on seepage losses from state reservoir on Logan River, Utah
Date 1916-11-30
Description The data secured from the gaging stations above and below the State Reservoir on Logan River from 1913 to 1916 indicated a variable loss of water which has been held by certain parties to result directly from the storage of water in the reservoir. To determine more definitely the extent and probable location of this loss a committee was appointed consisting of W.D. Beers, State Engineer, Professor Ray B. West of the Agricultural college, and Eugene Schaub, engineer for the Logan River Waterusers. An agreement was adopted by this committee on August 4, 1916, outlining the methods of procedure for the field work. The determination of the physical facts was assigned to the State Engineer and by his request the work was undertaken by the District Office of the Water Resources Branch, U.S. Geological Survey. The regular gaging stations located at A and D were improved by cleaning up the measuring sections and repairing one control at A. (A-1+A-2=A, D-1+D-2+D. See map and photographs.)
