Description This paper describes the Integrated Service Project completed at the Sorenson Center. One purpose of the project was to create the curriculum for the Fabulous 5's group in the Summer Program at the Sorenson. This program provided students with an opportunity to have enriched learning experiences. A curriculum was created for the ten week program with a theme for each week and an assessment to determine the effectiveness of the program. Lessons included hands on experiences and field trips to make sure the children had fun while learning. Children were assessed using the kindergarten readiness skills. Assessment results showed an average growth of 35% per child and 33% improvement per skill sets over the ten-week program. This project impacted the community by providing the students with more learning experiences and evidence to support future funding for the program. It also provided a curriculum that the Sorenson; Center can use in the future. I had an opportunity to work with children and learn about teaching and creating lesson plans that meet the developmental needs of the children, helping me learn about teaching as I become a teacher.
