Mortensen won the hammer throw and Feight the long jump. Mortensen turned in an NCAA Regional qualifying mark of 198-5 in the hammer throw, one inch shy of a personal best, while Feight won the long jump crown with a leap of 18-9. Mortensen is the team's first Regional qualifier yet this season. The Utes also saw a pair of second-place finishers in Janett Ern and in the 4x100m relay team. Ern took runner-up in the 1500m (4:46.90) while the 4x100m relay team of Jennifer Cutrer, Haley McAllister, Candice Mannion and Feight turned in a 47.49 performance. While Feight won the high jump crown, McAllister took third with a 17-11 showing. AJ Roby's personal record of 46-1 1/2 was good enough for third as was Nicole Mancinelli's 5-2 1/2 leap in the high jump. Roby also took third in discus (144-1). Cutrer tallied a fourth-place finish in the 100m hurdles to go along with her 4x100m relay showing. She finished the sprint in 14.40. he Utes also turned in a couple top-five showings. Susan Atwater and Mandie Rowell both had 11-6 efforts in the pole vault, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively; while McAllister (25.58) and Cutrer (25.68) also took five-six in the 400m. |
