Description The management of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is focused on reducing ICP to try to both preserve visual function, as well as reduce chronic headaches. There is sparse evidence to support the use of some of the drugs commonly used to manage IIH, therefore we propose to evaluate the efficacy of acetazolamide, topiramate, furosemide, amiloride and octreotide at lowering ICP in healthy rats.
