Subject Recreation--Sports--Golf--Dinah Land Golf Course
Description The golf course in Vernal is first talked about in 1932 where T.T. Johnston was elected president of the Golf Association. By October 1933, the Vernal Golf Club presented the proposition of a municipal golf course for the city of Vernal. The land, it was suggested, would be purchased by a limited number of persons and then turned over to the city. A limited number of memberships were given to those purchasers of the land. It was proposed by the committee that the course would be laid out by an expert, also that the tract of land be landscaped. Today, October 2013, it has expanded into a 18 hole course with a lovely club house and other amenities to serve golfers that come to the area. The men in this photo are unidentified.
