A loss of $12,000 was sustained by the Americal Oli Company when a tanker overturned near Duchesne. Over 4,000 galions of aviation and regular gasoline was lost as it spilled for the over-turned tank. The fire hazzard was so great that traffic was held up on Highway 40 for a long period of time.The Driver of the oil tanker was Desmond Olsen Thomas, 38, from Bountiful, Utah. He spent one night in the Roosevelt Hospital before being released. |
