Description Dr Kjeldsberg was born in Trondheim, Norway in 1938. Dr Kjeldsberg received his M.D. in 1966 from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Dr Kjeldsberg did his internship and pathology residency at General Rose Memorial Hospital in Denver, Colorado before coming to the University of Utah School of Medicine where he directed the Department of Pathology hematology section from 1971 to 1974. In 1974, Dr Kjeldsberg was appointed director of the Clinical Laboratories at the University of Utah Hospital and chief of the Department of Pathology at the Salt Lake VA Hospital. Dr Kjeldsberg was Chair of the Department of Pathology from 1993-2004. Dr Kjeldsberg was one of the founders of ARUP Laboratories where he served as president and CEO from 1993-2009 and as chairman of the board from 2003-2011. Dr Kjeldsberg is Professor Emeritus of Pathology.
