Description 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Presented here are two patients with congenital nystagmus demonstrating characteristic features including: mixed pendular and jerk nystagmus (usually gaze-evoked) waveforms, stays horizontal even in vertical gaze, suppression with convergence, strabismus and a latent component (common but not always present) and its common association with albinism. Also, there is often a null point where nystagmus is minimal, and optokinetic nystagmus may be in the opposite direction of what would be expected given the direction of an optokinetic stimulus.
