Effects of climatic extremes on ground water in western Utah, 1930-2005

Update Item Information
Title Effects of climatic extremes on ground water in western Utah, 1930-2005
Subject Water table -- Utah; Climatic extremes
Description The effects of climate on water resources is a topic of current interest to scientists and water suppliers and users. This report discusses the effects of climatic extremes on ground water in Utah and illustrates how ground-water systems in Utah respond to these extremes. The responses in developed ground-water basins are the result of the combined effects of climate and ground-water withdrawal. Responses in an undeveloped basin and in basins with varying amounts of withdrawal illustrate the feedback between climatic effects and withdrawal and the resulting response of ground-water systems.
