Description The Midnite Mine is an inactive hard rock uranium mine on the Spokane Indian Reservation in Stevens County, Washington. Since the mining operations stopped, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), U.S. Bureau ofLand Management (BLM), Spokane Tribe of Indians (STI), the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), the Washington State Dept of Health (WSDH),and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a have been actively involved in planning the remediation and restoration of the site. This report is the quality assurrance projrct plan to determine the extent of contamination of the groundwater, surface water, and sediment.
