Description ambient recording
Note Still a cold and windy day. I have propped a piece of lumbar to the side of the mic to block the wind gusts. A piece of thin fleece is drapped over the mic to protect it from rain and snow. Longspurs, Pectoral sandpipers, and Red-necked phalaropes are quietly and almost desperately feeding in the snowy grasses and along the edges of the frozen puddles. They are mostly quiet, concentrating on survival rather than courtship and territory defense; Habitat type: Coastal Tundra with small puddles/ponds; Elevation: 22 Feet; Wind: 20, gusts 30 MPH; Temp: 30.5 F; Humidity: 80%; Local Time: 11:01 AM
Global Positioning System Coordinates 69.888667 / -142.311167
