Collection Inventory +/-Biographical Note/Historical Note +/-The Treasurer of Westminster College (Salt Lake City, Utah) is an officer of the Board of Trustees. Parke M. Pontz held this office from 1921-1954. Content Description +/-This collection consists of a single handwritten book listing petty cash expenditures of Westminster College (Salt Lake City, Utah) made between November 1, 1921 and December 31, 1922. While most of the entries are written in pencil, there are a few in ink. Some of the pages are smudged, faded, and difficult to read. The book is hard-bound with "Petty Cash Book" penned on the cover. The entries seem to have been written by the same unidentified person. It is possible the hand is that of Parke M. Pontz, who was college treasurer from 1921-1955. However, it may be that of another person, perhaps a clerical staff member, assisting him with the petty cash records. Most entries include date, name, and amount; columns indicate expenditure from college or miscellaneous funds, and some entries include an explanation. There are several notations of the amount in the bank and the amount in hand. Collection Use +/-Restrictions on Access: Open to public research.
