Further Information This photograph is a copy of the original and is in fairly good condition. On the back of the photo, inscribed in pen, is: "Lincoln Barker," "Lincoln Barker," "1934-1941". There is also yellow adhesive brushed onto the back of the photograph. Barker served as the Dean of Westminster College from 1934 to 1941, during which he was an active and prominent Presbyterian Elder. Barker was born on May 21, 1899, in St. Louis, Missouri. He received a B.A. and M.A. from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri; he conducted additional graduate work at Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton University, Washington University, and New York University; he received a Ph.D. from New York University. Before serving as the Dean of Westminster College (Utah), he was a teacher at Westminster University (Missouri) and the Dean and Professor of Philosophy and Psychology at Arkansas College in Batesville, Arkansas. Upon resignation in 1941, Barker took a position on the faculty of Maryville College and later on taught at Yankton College, from which he retired.
