Show A narrow looking church with a very pronounced steep roofline. The walls are made out of light stone. A bell-tower, attached to one side in the front, casts a shadow that blanks out more than half of the front of the church. Steps lead up to an entrance to the bell-tower. The entrance is a narrow, tall, arched opening. A window above the entrance mimics the narrow, tall door opening. On the other side of the building is another set of steps leading to another entrance which is the mirror image of the opening in the bell-tower. There is a leafless tree at the right of the church. Snow covered mountains can be seen in the background. |

"I do not understand the significance of the dates given. The Manti Mission was opened in 1877. The church was organized in 1878 and the church building was dedicated in 1881. Rev. Martin became State Supply for the church in 1879 and served the church until his death in 1919. The church continued until 1940, when it was dissolved. The building was constructed of oolite, from the same quarry as the Manti temple." Dr. Fred Burton Aug.8, 2007. Sepia. Numbers and titles for the Russell H.
