Further Information The following information is written on the back of the photograph: "Rev. George Bailey, D. D." George Bailey was the 6th president of the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute. He served from 1901-1905. He was a pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City when he assumed the presidency. He was promised a salary of $2,500 per year, but agreed to serve without compensation until the cash flow improved. He later resided in Washingtion D.C., where his primary function was fund raising. After his presidency he accepted a position as pastor of the Western Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C.
