Description The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The twenty-eighth annual watercolor exhibition hosted by the Nevada Watercolor Society at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas Majorie Barrick Museum. Fran Larsen juried the show and selected 100 paintings out of 1200 entries. The Best of Show award winner was Matriarch by Jay Johansen, a member of the Arizona Watercolor Association. The David Dale Memorial award winner was Crossing I by Ann Bellinger Hartley, a member of the WASH. The president of the Nevada Watercolor Society was Dr. Steven Sinert, 2003.
