Description Image of Crazy Patch quilt created in 1876-1885 by MaryAnn Elizabeth Dyas Watmough. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Joan Blackhurst Spencer as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. Made as a "status" symbol during Victorian popularity in Utah, since absence of one in the home indicated "poverty". Quiltmaker was an active needle woman, doing lace curtains and attire cloths for the SL Temple.
