Description Image of Marie's rose quilt created in 1935 by Unknown quilter. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Marie Gunnell as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. This is only one of two applique quilts extant in the possession of the present owner. The fabrics appear to be broadcloth, with the center circles of the flower made of polished cotton. The blocks are set "on point" and are hand appliqued. The patter was named in honor of the present owner by Ruth Ann Roberts, her Visiting Teacher.
