Belonged to owner's great-grandfather, John Pill, who brought it from the Guernsey Islands to America en route to Utah in 1855. He died of cholera at Mormon Grove before reaching Utah, but kept in the family. Photo taken in Salt Lake City, borrowed by owner's daughter, Mrs. Arno A. Steinicke |
