John Holbrook, MD Class of '67 and Thomas Caine, MD Class of '63 worked together at University of Utah as internists for over 26 years; In 1972, Holbrook and Caine were the first two of three hires for the new Division of General Internal Medicine, along with Grant Christian, MD. "We were three fellows fresh out of training," recalls Caine, who had recently finished a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and was serving as an Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the School of Medicine. With the development of the new division, he was named its first chief. |
