Abstract Sackett (b. 1922) was drafted into the Navy and attended basic training at Camp Bennion. He received further training in San Diego, Key West, Newport, and on Long Island. He was assigned as a torpedoman 3rd class to the USS Cart, and spent most of his time on lookout. Interviewed by Frances Merrill. 20 pages.
