Abstract Calvin Wardrop was born in 1924 in Hermosa Beach, California. He was drafted into the Navy in 1943. After passing the test for Officer Training School, he attended Willamette University in Oregon for a year. He was then assigned to the USS Solace, a hospital ship in the South Pacific. He served as a supply clerk until June 1946. He later worked as an elementary school teacher and principal. 23 pages.
