Description Acute zonal occult outer retinopathy (AZOOR), multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS), acute macular neuroretinopathy (AMN), acute idiopathic blind spot enlargement syndrome (AIBSE), multifocal choroiditis (MCP), punctate inner choroidopathy (PIC), and diffuse subretinal fibrosis syndrome (DSF) comprise a group of occult chorioretinopathies (OC) that may mimic optic nerve disease. To date, there are no absolute criteria to define disease subtypes, no available markers to diagnose disease or gauge prognosis, and no effective therapies.
