This 74-year-old man was referred by his ophthalmologist for evaluation of rapid and unexplained loss of vision in both eyes that began roughly six weeks earlier. His symptoms consisted of progressive nonspecific deterioration in his ability to see, dimness, and worse vision at night. There were no positive symptoms or glare. His family had noted that his memory seemed impaired during the preceding few months. |
