Scans of letters related to the trip to Washington, D.C., by Marriner S. Eccles to testify before the Finance Committee of the United States Senate, April 16, 1958. Many of the letters from prior to the trip were social in nature: Mr. Eccles informing associates about his travel plans and arranging to visit, and their responses. Letters from after his visit consisted of responses to reports of his testimony, requests for and distribution and receipt of copies of Mr. Eccles' statement. Among the letters is a series by James S. Peddicord to Eccles, President Eisenhower, and others with his own views on the economic situation.
