Description |
Honor Medal of the National Society of Sons of Utah Pioneers. On the back of this medal are engraved the words: "Dedicated to all those who have the courage to face adversity with a conquering spirit. To General Dwight D. Eisenhower." A replica of this medal was first presented to Prime Minister Winston Churchill by the prime minister of Canada, Hon. W. L. McKenzie King, at a conference of the Commonwealth of Nations of Great Britain during the 2nd World War. Sculpted by Avard Fairbanks. Gift of Nicholas G. Morgan. |
