Show $350,000 for 20-bed adequate and accredited hospital. $100,000 for beginning endowment to provide for doctors, nurses, supplies for one year (this amounts to about $5,000) . We have come to a point where some of our stations can now be manned on a permanent basis. To open one of these t his year or next, we would need: $ 5,000 for priest (with family) $10,000 quarters and church to be built $ 5,000 for car and t ransportation. All that has been done has been possible, under God, because we have won the confidence of the Navajo people (they come to us from afar for various ministrations and we are known in whatever part of our vast area we may be - known by name and addressed in Navajo) and beca use our fri ends t hrough out the Church and the world have confidence in us and by th eir finan cial h elp are desiring to have a real share in this life and work. The St. Christopher Community offers a unique and challenging opportunity to live in and be a part of a t ruly Redemptive work. We need fi eld workers of all sorts: priests, teachers, doctors, nurses, hospital workers, gardeners, mechanics, cooks, handy men and women. Almost any kind of gift and talent can be used if offered in ser vice to God and Man in a determination to work humbly and lovingly with one's fellows. This is not easy and requires the subjection of individual to communal goals. However, there is always opportunity for individual expression. With the coming of the new Vicar and his fami ly, new vigor and much hope for t he future is in evidence among staff, people and cont ributors, We also welcome missionaries at home who will be militant promot ers wherever t hey a re and who will inter est others in helping us with money, supplies, clothing and medicine.
