Abstract In a 1989 interview with Everett L. Cooley, Ruby Geerlings (b. 1904) recalled her early life and education in Holland, Michigan, meeting Jacob Geerlings, and life in Utah as it centered around the University of Utah where he was professor, headed the Classics Department, later he became Dean of the Faculty, 1947-1953, and returned to teaching.
