Atiya, Director Middle East Center University of Utah Salt Lake City, Utah Dear Aziz, Thank you very much for your letter of April 27. I am glad to see that you have received your copy of Ibn 'Aqil. The United States copies took two to three weeks longer than those which went to Europe and the Near East. Thank you very much for your sincere congratulations. I only hope that 1 will be worthy of belonging to this close group of Orientalists who have worked as you have. Sir Hamilton is coming along very well, is back home from the hospital. He still goes there every other day for his therapy. Tomorrow we are going to make a visit together to his Widener room to choose some books for him which he intends to take with him for his summer vacation in England. The volume is progressing very well and you can expect to receive your proofs sometime by the end of June or in July. I particularly enjoyed your contribution to it and I only wish that others were as careful and as neat as you are. With very best regards to you and the family, Sincerely yours, akdisi |
