Description | John Marson Cook was born January 23, 1944 in Notinghamshire, England. He drove an ox-team across the plains to the Great Salt Lake Valley in 1862. He married Elizabeth A Caper in 1867 and came to the Uinta Basin in 1889, where he continued to live until his death in 1919. He was the father of twelve children, five who survived him. He died April 22, 1919 in Naples and is buried in the Rock Point Cemetery. |
