Description People gathered before the unveiling of the Maube Ferry DUP Monument. Nearly one thousand people gathered for the pageant and program before the unveiling of the Maube Ferry Monument. The monument was considered to be one of the most beautiful and unique historic markers in Utah. It was the first to be dedicated in Uintah County by the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. The design was done by Frank P. Wellman. The artistic work of masonry was done by Garn Swain of Vernal. The land was donated by Mr. and Mrs Charles Wise.
