Description |
Treatment of pituitary tumors is often predicated on its ability to restore visual function. Pre-operative visual field defects, optic disc pallor, duration of visual loss, and patient age are not reliable predictors of visual outcome [1-3]. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) might, by providing an objective measure of pre-operative retinal nerve fiber layer thickness, offer a more reliable prediction of visual outcome. |
